Western Australians produce around 20% more waste per capita than the rest of the country. Our work with the WA Government (via the Department of Waste and Environmental Regulation and Waste Authority WA) saw us challenged to find a way to bring the war on waste into local households.
With a combination of research, strategy and ‘roll-up your sleeves’ communications work, the award-winning formerly known Own Your Impact campaign was born, now known as WasteSorted. Mills Wilson also assisted in the development of the WA Draft Waste Strategy and reinvigorated the Department’s annual celebration of those excelling in the area of waste reduction and management - the WasteSorted Awards.
