With almost 20 years in the industry under her belt, Kym is a highly-regarded public relations operator with an enormous breadth of experience.
Combining clear strategic thinking with a consultative approach – something which she honed while working in a range of sectors across consultancy, government and private organisations – Kym always gets to the heart of an issue, and helps clients find a way to communicate with confidence. She sees the big picture and uses her expansive strategic communication and stakeholder engagement skills to take others along for the journey.
Kym has extensive public affairs experience and has managed large teams and very significant budgets. She headed the communications program to support the split of the (then) Department of Justice into two agencies; consultation for a comprehensive Kimberley Justice Program and a controversial prisoner work camp; and media relations for a prisoner escape and hostage situation. Since joining Mills Wilson in 2008 she has turned her hand to a range of projects for the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority, Peet and Wesfarmers, guiding each through a range of communications challenges.
